I wouldn't go so far as to say that Tideland is a bad movie, because it's not. It's just really, really weird and strange and somewhat disturbing which makes it a bit inaccessible to most people. If you want a strange experience then Tideland is absolutely excellent. If you want normal Hollywood-fluff then you will be disappointed. I’m a big fan of Terry Gilliam. What did you expect from Terry Gilliam? He has to be somewhat disturbed after the years with Monthy Phytons Flying Circus. In one off their movies he was dressed as a knight in shining armor with a chicken in one hand. Sane ? Don't think so! ;) But really. What did you expect from Terry Gilliam?
