I loved the computer club Orion (spent all my summers and weekends there) and Arctic Hack. That was definitely the best time of my life. Maybe you could do something like moderate the comments or something? And put up some basic rules, like for instance "If your post contain Ad hominem attacks it will not be posted" etc. That way you at least could avoid posting stuff with personal attacks instead of attacks on your arguments.
