For a long time ahead the politicians who voted "Yes" will be categorized as nothing less than idiots, morons and spineless assholes with no remorse for the implications this law will have on you and me, operators and not to mention the information which is subject to the scan. Listen to what I say, the year 2008 in sweden and ALL THE TRAFFIC THROUGH INTERNET PASSING IN, OUT OR THROUGH SWEDEN IS GOING TO BE SCANNED. I never thought this would be a reality, not even in my worst nightmare. I suppose I could make a statement about my opionion in this matter but on the other hand we all know the implications of this law. Was watching our dear politicians debating the subject and my urge too bitchslap was almost constant. These people don't get it, hopefully a new generation will come along and throw this garbage-law in the bin. A side-note-book-recommendation: <a href="http://craphound.com/littlebrother/" rel="nofollow">Little brother</a>, Cory Doctorows new book. Its settled in a near future, USA:s department of homeland security has almost everyone's every step surveillanced to "protect" people from terrorists. This hacker-kid decides to rebel against the system. A great book that brings up these subjects in a lightweight (it's written mostly for people in the highschool age, but adults can appreciate it too) entertaining way. A cool sidenote in the sidenote is that in the book they are using a linux distro called paranoindLinus, a disto using every technique available to protect the users privacy. This distro is currently being developed in reality. I'd listened to this book just before I heard of the FRA-law, a nice stroke from faith. The book is released for free in e-book form or can bee found on tpb as audiobook. Anyanyways, great to see a post from you again, my feedreader has been hollow without you. Nice to see you at the keyboard again :-) Yes this is a dark time we live in. My self I got so upset that I wrote a angry letter to each and every one of the 143 members that voted yes. So far I have received 4 answers back. They are all more or less standard letters and they all sound like devoted religious people. You can not possibly hope to argument with them. They always get back to the same twisted frazes all the time, no matter what you say to them. And yes i agree to what you wrote. They simply do not understand. They think they do and only makes them stupid and dangerous. As far as I'm concerned I would like to see all YES voters resign. This also goes for all those who did not expressly vote NO. And what the frack was it all about with 67 persons missing? All sick or simply to scared? If only a few of them had been present this "thing" could have been avoided. So to conclude: this is one more nail in the coffin of privacy and personal integrety here in sweden. It's a huge "Frack You" in the face of the people living here. And they had the nerve to try hiding it! Well this is going to cost them in so many ways they can not begin to understand. Guess if I'm going to vote on any of them EVER AGAIN as long as I live? Any other, with exception to "SverigeDemokraterna" can have my vote. ... yeah...that bitch slapping would feel great at the moment..... WERY well written.
