This is another of my pet peeves. I have several, this is simply #2 in the chronological order of this blog.
Amusingly enough this one is also cellphone-related. It’s pretty amazing how far modern cellphones/mobiles have come since I started using one. My first mobile was a Nokia 1611, and it could do two main things: make/receive calls and send SMS messages. Oh, and you could choose a ringtone from five different ones. Compared to modern phones it was also the size of a small brick.
Cellphones today have digital cameras, MP3-players, GPS, Internet connection and everything else up the wazzoo. And this leads me to something that annoys me: People using the tiny built-in speaker in the phone to play music as if it was some kind of boom-box.
I don’t give two craps about your “rights”. To me, it’s just noise-pollution and it’s even less tolerable than some jackass with a deathstick in his face blowing smoke in every direction. Use the frickin’ headphones, mkay? I didn’t ask to hear a tinny version of whatever bullcrap is currently being rotated on MTV, and I don’t want to hear it. Plug it in your ears or I will plug it in your face. With my fist.
