Once again I’m at it, shooting statues with my 50mm. This is a very well-known structure in central Stockholm, and originally I didn’t like this picture. But after tweaking it a bit in lightroom I started appreciating the texture and the somewhat ancient feel. It almost got a slight copper-tone coloring, and in my head it started to feel like a vintage photo from the 1930s, the golden age before atomics, when Art Deco was king. The finishing detail is the seagull sitting on top of it – I love that tiny detail.
